"Let me go!" Mia screamed as the man who attacked Anubis
grabbed her. She looked down at the unconscious
Anubis and felt like crying. But she knew she had to be strong,
so she fought against the man's grip. Then an
idea entered her head.
"RYO! ROWEN!! GUYS!!! HELP ME!!!!" She screamed at
the top of her lungs. She smiled to herself as she heard
the soft clanking of subarmor and the yells of her friends.
"Mia!" Ryo yelled for her. All five of the warriorsarrived
on the scene, all in subarmor. Mia pulled against
the man's grip.
"Let me go!" She demanded. "Who are you?"
She tried to rip herself from his grip, but the cold hand only
tightened around her arms. As the man laughed, Mia's eyes widened
as she realized that it was Taitou who had hold of her.
Apparently the guys figured that out too.
"You again?" Kento growled. Rowen looked down at Anubis'
unconscious figure. He clenched his fists.
"What the hell do you want from us?" He yelled, anger
showing on his face. Taitou shook his head.
"Pathetic boys. It's not you I'm after. It's the lost princess
of the dynasty." His eyes focused on Mia and he
looked her up and down, taking careful note of all her features.
"And I must say," he continued, "I believe I have
found her." Mia's frightened eyes darted back from the Ronins
to Taitou's freaky gaze. Sage glared at Taitou.
"I don't know what you're talking about! Get the fuck out
of here!" He threatened him with a fist. Taitou
ignored the Ronins and looked down at Mia. He let one of her
shoulders go and held his hand out in the air. In the palm of
his hand materialized the icy blue necklace he had had for so
long. He smiled wickedly as Mia's eyes saw the necklace. Mia
started frantically fighting his grip.
"No! No...let me go!" She turned away from him and
tried everything to get out of his grip. Taitou smiled
evilly. He looked at the glowing necklace. Mia's eyes brimmed
with tears. He let go of her and she dashed to the Ronins. She
knelt beside Anubis and sobbed. She looked frightfully at Taitou.
Cye clenched his teeth.
"Let's get rid of this guy!" He yelled to his friends.
They all nodded and transformed into their armors.
"Let's get ready to kick some ass!" Kento bellowed
as he pulled his weapon out. Taitou only shrugged and
looked at the necklace.
"Fit for a princess isn't it Mia?" Mia shook her head,
refusing to listen. "Come on Mia, you remember don't you?
You've always remembered, but you didn't want to come back."
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Why didn't you come back to
us Mia?" Tears streaked down Mia's face.
"Leave me alone! I don't know what you're talking about!"
She screamed. Ryo took out his swords.
"I've had it! You're toast!" Ryo charged at Taitou
but just before he struck the man with his sword, some
unseen energy blasted him backwards. He rubbed his head.
"Damn! That hurts!" Taitou looked over at him.
"It's no use boy. I'm a much better fighter than you'll ever
be." He took his other hand and pointed his palm
at Ryo. A dark, black beam of energy formed in his hand and shot
out at Ryo. It hit him in the chest, sending him sprawling backwards.
He groaned with pain as the other Ronins gasped. Mia clenched
her fists.
"Stop it! STOP IT NOW!" She screamed at Taitou. Taitou
turned towards her.
"And why should I do that?" He asked interestingly.
Mia stood up and glared right at him.
"Because I told you to! And because I'll kick your sorry
ass if you don't!" She screamed at him. Cye looked
back at Mia.
"Mia...I don't think you can fight him." He looked
worriedly at her. Mia had a very determined look on her
face, which showed that she, was serious. Taitou laughed.
"As much fun as that would be, I think you have other things
to do Mia." He gave a menacing grin.
"Like what?" Mia looked worried.
"Like kill the Ronins." Mia clenched her teeth. The
Ronins all gave eachother a confused look. Mia glared at Taitou.
"I'd never kill them!" She yelled. Taitou sighed.
"Have it your way." He grinned as the necklace began
to glow brighter. Mia suddenly fell to her knees, screaming in
pain. She wrapped her arms around her stomach, trying to stop
the pain.
"Mia!" Sage yelled. "Damnit! What the hell are
you doing to her?" He demanded. Anubis' eyes started to
flicker
open and he saw Mia kneeling beside him and screaming. He staggered
up and put a hand to his head.
"That was a cheap shot!" He called to Taitou. He fell
to his knees beside Mia and wrapped his arms around her. "It's
ok Mia, I'm here for you. I'm right here...it'll be ok."
Mia sobbed onto his shoulder and clutched at her stomach. As
Mia screamed and Anubis trying to comfort her, Ryo's body began
to stir. Kento ran to him and helped him up. Ryo growled angrily.
"Don't go near him guys! There's some kind of force field
or something around him." Mia screamed again. It was a
loud, shrill, and blood curdling scream. Taitou grinned.
"Don't worry Mia, it will be over soon. Then you'll be with
us again." Rowen and Sage stood in front of Mia and Anubis.
Sage held his sword before him.
"Alright Taitou! I'm ready for a fight, so bring it on!"
He challenged. A small, devilish smile crossed Taitou's face
"Oh, that won't be necessary." Taitou laughed. "I'm
finished here. And Mia, it isn't good to run from your past."
He laughed evilly and vanished. The necklace remained a few seconds
after Taitou disappeared and as the necklace disappeared, Mia
let out a gasp. The pain stopped but images poured into her mind.
Images of warriors destroying villages and hundreds of people,
all murdering and killing mercilessly. She saw Taitou standing
on a rooftop, watching the madness. Beside him stood a woman who
was unclear. She wore the necklace
that Taitou had showed them. As the woman stepped from the shadows,
she became clearer. Mia's vacant expression startled the Ronins.
They watched as Mia looked vacantly out into space.
As the woman became clearer in Mia's mind, she saw that she was
very familiar. When her face was shown, Mia
gasped. It was her....the woman was Mia! She wore an evil smile
on her face as she watched the massacre below her. The image
cut off as she laughed cruelly. Mia broke out in tears.
"No! It's not true...." She cried. Everyone gave her
a look of sympathy. Mia jumped out of Anubis' arms.
"It's not true....." Her voice quivered. Tears streaked
down her cheeks as Anubis gave the warriors a
worried look and wrapped his arms comfortingly around Mia.
